Gina Korte

Owner

Throughout Gina's 30 year career she's been a member of numerous vocal ensembles that have all helped shape her into the performer that she is today. Gina graduated from Lindenwood University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Vocal/Choral Music & Master of Arts in Education. While attending there, she sang with various University groups and was also selected for leadership roles in multiple ensembles which led to Assistant Directing. Here she found her passion for conducting and arranging/composing music. Being able to conduct her own acapella arrangement of Steven Tyler's “Dream On” was a DREAM come true. Gina's performances have included singing the National Anthem for The Olympic Diving Trials/multiple sporting events/military commencements; opening for "Pure Prairie League", "Billy Ray Cyrus" and "Charlie Daniels". Her most unforgettable performance would be singing at The White House during the Holiday Season! When Gina isn’t running the business or teaching, you can find her on stage with her bands "Turning Point STL" & Silver Bullet STL. "I feel quite blessed and could not think of anything else that I would want to do with my life".--

Michael Laws

Drums

Over 40 years kickin it behind a drum kit. Pop, Rock, Country/Country Rock, dance music … and yes, even disco !!! Winner of a Mid-West regional drum competition. Member of the original Ludwig National Association of Rudimental Drummers. Toured with a country band. My musical journey started at age 10 when introduced to music instruments in school. I gravitated to the drums and my learning began. High school years I rocked with a basement band, except we actually got out of the basement and played a few gigs. I was asked to come take a look & listen to a competition band, I did. And WHAT?! A 36 piece accordion band! You just never know where a journey will lead you. So I joined them and a smaller group. We played in year competitions as groups as soloists throughout the Mid-West and Canada. During 3 years with them, I won the Mid-West regional when it was held in St. Louis. Moving on into college years I studied music history, theory and piano. Over time, I played with a couple of local wedding dance/bar bands. I joined a country band. We hired an agent, got booked and played several places all over the Mid-west. Eventually gave up on the road gig and returned to one of the local wedding bands I was previously in, got married and had a child.  Having taught drums to a number of different individuals over the years, I will now share, teach and learn along with my fellow musicians/teachers at NEW MOON STUDIOS. LET'S ROCK THIS JOINT!!!!!

Amelia Lloyd

Piano & Voice

I am currently an elementary music teacher at Mount Hope Elementary in the Fort Zumwalt School district. I have been working as a music teacher for 7 years in Zumwalt. Before that I obtained my bachelors in Music Education from Lindenwood University.

At Mount Hope I have directed the 4th and 5th grade choir for 6 years and have completed 5 musicals and a variety of community performances including going to sing at a Cardinals game every spring.

Aside from teaching general music, I have taught private piano and voice lessons with students ranging from K-9th grade. I am currently part time at Kirkwood UCC as their Director of Music Ministry. There I lead choir rehearsal on Thursday evenings and lead worship every Sunday.

I am a mother of 3 beautiful kiddos. Charlie is 3 and Beau and Ellie are 8 month old twins! In my free time I enjoy crocheting and writing fiction.

Hi, my name is Dan David (Danny to friends). I’ve been playing music in one form or another my entire life. My professional life is best known for playing drums behind well known performers in Los Angeles, as well as working with my father, Russ David, who was an award winning arranger pianist and television personality right here in Saint Louis.

I was fortunate to have studied privately under Freddie Gruber, and Dave Rizzo (Saint Louis Symphony Principal Percussionist). Because of my fathers’ success, I had opportunities at a young age to play with his show band and be a featured soloist on the drums.

This led to touring with the Glenn Miller Band, recording jingles in Chicago, and playing behind major artists when they came into town. Private tutors taught me piano and music theory, and I even took up guitar on my own. After graduating from high school as the most likely to succeed (Phi Beta Mu Award), I headed for a degree in music, majoring in performance.

Once in Los Angeles California, my opportunities to play and perform as a professional were numerous. After consideration, and with my father’s blessing, I left school to pursue those ends. This provided me with priceless experiences in the music industry. Although it led to a career change later in life to support a family (BS Degree in Marketing), those experiences have served me well.

I have been a substitute teacher in all grades and subjects, a private instructor in drums and piano, a drum adviser, music arranger, I’ve played in numerous cover bands, jazz ensembles, big bands, and the Saint Louis Philharmonic Orchestra.

I am an ordained minister of music and youth ministries. I have an Associate Degree in Data Processing, and a Bachelor of Science.

Since reaching retirement age and settling down in my hometown, I’ve had a renewed enthusiasm for reaching young students. This past year I’ve worked with kids from kindergarten to high school and can honestly tell you - I’ve never enjoyed teaching more.

I hope you will consider me for your next teaching opportunity and look forward to meeting you.
